It's the Autumn Equinox.  Six months from now, at the Spring Equinox, my new fantasy novel will be launched.  In honor of that, I'm posting a free read today:  my short story "Kind Hunter," which was the spark that led to my writing the novel.  Enjoy!

I've sold a short story to Renard's Menagerie.  This is the first of the Leon stories, for those who might have heard me read them.  Leon's a favorite of mine, so I'm delighted he'll be appearing in print.
